MSA S-CAP FIRE ESCAPE HOOD
The S-cap hood is designed as a breathing device for use with ambient air to provide a 15 minute escape capability under emergency conditions, using a gas and particle filter that has been tested to the European Standard (EN 403:2004) for Escape Hood Filtering Devices. Storage Life and Inspection Intervals Factory sealed in foil bag under proper storage conditions:
•Maintenance-Free for 4 years.
•After 4 years, Testing is required.
•Maximum Shelf Life: 10 years (4+4+2 years).
•Maximum Shelf Life if stored in vehicles: 8 years (4+2+2 years).
Testing
Visual inspection and weight check of foil bag.
Increase of weight must be <2g to extend storage life.
